Discerning over Deciding
One of the guiding values of our church is discerning God’s will rather than deciding for ourselves. Discerning the voice of God means that we spend time in prayer listening, both as individuals, and as the Mountain Park body. To that end, we invite you to set aside some time for prayer each Thursday morning.
Heart & Soul Prayer
Most of us are familiar with prayer meetings as a place to petition God with our requests. But, prayer is more importantly learning to listen to God. We can only do that if we take time to slow down and wait to hear His voice. This can be hard to do in a culture that values busyness and productivity.
Heart & Soul is a place where we gather to learn to listen to God. He encourages us to "be still and know Him." There is worship, silent prayer, reading God's word, listening to what we sense God is saying to us through the Word, and then a time of sharing. We are often struck by how uniquely God speaks to each person!
If you are longing to learn to hear God's voice, come join us! We meet from 7:00 to 7:45 in the Baker room on Thursday nights. Each night is a stand alone Bible meditation so a weekly commitment is not required.

You are welcome to join in prayer for our mutual cares and needs. We meet on ZOOM at 9 AM each Thursday morning.
